Down a dusty, bumpy dirt road, lies this charming, relaxing and secluded game reserve. Big 5 safari it is not, but this lodge gave us some special moments up close to a host of beautiful wild animals - wildebeest, springbok, kudu, elan, zebra and giraffes. The lodge is lead expertly, diligently and kindly by Wilhelm. The team around him is equally friendly and our game drive driver was knowledgeable and sharp on the lookout for the animals. Close ups of the animals also happen in the evening, with many gathering around the lodge for feeding on fresh grass. A special moment for us was waking up to 3 zebra outside our room in the middle of the night and we observed them, lit by the bright moonlight for 30 minutes.

The lodge offers a delicious breakfast, a nice swimming pool, superbly comfortable rooms, and a delightful evening dinner. We would definitely recommend a stop off for a few nights at this lodge. Many thanks to Wilhelm and the Team.

Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night due to limited time, but that short stay was absolutely incredible. The host welcomed us very warmly and made us feel at home right away. The rooms are beautifully designed with great attention to detail, and the entire property is very well maintained and charming.

The food was amazing! We were also incredibly lucky to see zebras, waterbucks, springboks, and many more animals right in the front yard while we were having dinner.

All in all, we would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back someday.

Ein absoluter Geheimtipp! Waren für zwei Nächte hier und würden am liebsten noch länger bleiben! Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Wir haben zwei Game drives gebucht, welche wir absolut weiterempfehlen können! Unser Guide war super informiert und man merkte, dass er seine Arbeit liebt. Nicht nur die Tiere sondern auch die Umgebung ist ein absoluter Traum! Das Essen war sehr gut und Preis-Leistung Top!! Am Abend kann man von seinem Balkon die Tiere beim fressen beobachten! Sollten wir wieder mal in dieser Gegend sein, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten! Danke für die unvergessliche Zeit!

A beautiful lodge in a stunning setting. We loved our stay here for one night. The lodge and rooms are clean, the team were great and Willem was a great host. The food was outstanding, very fresh and the kitchen team were very accommodating. We would recommend to anyone wanting to disconnect and enjoy a tranquil stay in the Karoo.
